Introducing FOOT-NES

FOOT-NES (NES: National and European Scales) is mainly targeted at EU and member states policy- and decision-makers, and pesticide registration authorities.

The objectives of the FOOT-NES tool are:

1) to identify those large areas which are most at risk of pesticide contamination; and,

2) assess the probability of pesticide concentrations exceeding legal or ecotoxicologically-based thresholds at the member state and EU levels.

FOOT-NES is developed as an ESRI ArcGIS add-on. FOOT-NES will be made available from the end of 2009. If you wish to be kept informed about FOOT-NES, its release and training opportunities, please register with the FOOTPRINT announcement list.
