> Home > The Advisory Committee The FOOTPRINT Advisory Committee Initial contacts with potential stakeholders and end-users demonstrated that there is a very strong interest in the FOOT tools which are being developed within FOOTPRINT. In order to maximise the potential usefulness and exposure of the FOOT tools, the consortium decided to set up an Advisory Committee with individuals from the following communities: - farmer associations - extension advisers - registration authorities - water managers and those involved in the implementation of the WFD - researchers - scientists from the agrochemical industry The Advisory Committee has three essential roles with regard to the project: 1) provide feedback on the relevance of the work undertaken to the needs of the stakeholders and future users of the FOOT tools; 2) raise awareness of the project in their influence circles and member states; and, 3) contribute actively to the dissemination of the results and to the uptake of the FOOT tools in Europe. The Advisory Committee met in Orléans (France) in February 2006, in Copenhagen (Denmark) in November 2006, in Ispra (Italy) in November 2007, in Wroclaw (Poland) in November 2008 and in Giessen (Germany) in March 2009. |
